BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Wael ISMAIL is currently Vice President for Corporate Affairs for Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan at PepsiCo. Mr. ISMAIL joined PepsiCo in 2016 and has assumed several roles within the Corporate Affairs function since then focused on developing and advocating for “win-win” public policy solutions. Mr. ISMAIL is a Public Affairs professional with extensive experience of more than 15 years with special focus on the Middle East and emerging markets.

Mr. ISMAIL heads the Middle East Office of Sustainability for PepsiCo and is responsible for achieving the company’s ambitious pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) goals across the three main pillars of positive choices, positive value chain and positive agriculture. He is also responsible for launching a number of PepsiCo’s key initiatives in the region including: Tamakani (women empowerment platform), Proudly Saudi (PepsiCo’s Corporate engagement initiative in Saudi Arabia), and the MENA Green House Accelerator as well as many more community investment initiatives in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Libya and the UAE.

Mr. ISMAIL represents PepsiCo in various industry bodies and groups including: US Chamber of Commerce (Washington DC), Multinational Companies Business Group (Dubai, UAE), and a frequent participant in key regional forums including the World Government Summit (UAE), WEF MENA, and the Future Investment Initiative (Riyadh, KSA). He is a founding member of Project Circle, a circular economy coalition in the UAE in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change in the UAE.

Mr. ISMAIL is a Jordanian national holding a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC) as well as a Master’s of Arts (MA) in Middle East Studies from the same University. Have lived, studied and worked across the Middle East in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and the UAE.
