Mr. Ricky Shah

Ricky Shah is the Head of OCO Global’s consultancy practice in the Middle East. He advises with IPAs, SEZs and government entities in the region and globally on investment promotion, trade and economic development.

Ricky has a Masters Degree in Economic Development from the University of Manchester in his home country of England. His career as an analyst and consultant has taken him around the world, from the UK to the Middle East and Africa, with flagship projects including supporting host country preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022, preparing for the UK’s exit from the European Union, and supporting the global response to the Ebola pandemic in Sierra Leone.

Recently, he has supported Gulf countries on a range of investment and trade projects, ultimately focused on enhancing location competitiveness to drive inward investment. This includes supporting the launch of a new, national SEZ program in Saudi Arabia, where he has led the delivery of various studies and strategies to position the zones in a competitive regional environment.

Prior to joining OCO, Ricky worked with Deloitte and PA Consulting in the UK, where he developed investment cases and supported the delivery of large infrastructure projects across healthcare, transport and trade.
