Mr. Lorenzo Cotula

Lorenzo Cotula is the Head of the Law, Economies and Justice Programme at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), a policy research institute based in the United Kingdom. He is also a Visiting Professor at the School of Law, University of Strathclyde. Lorenzo’s research and policy work focuses on the interface between public international law, economic law, natural resource law, environmental law, human rights law and international dispute settlement and sustainable development. Lorenzo holds academic qualifications in law, development studies, and sustainable business from Sapienza University of Rome, the London School of Economics, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Cambridge.
