BIOGRAPHY

Jeongmin Seong is a Partner at the McKinsey Global Institute, McKinsey’s business and economics research arm. He leads MGI research on global as well as emerging market-focused themes and on China. 

Jeongmin’s research is focused on globalization, trade, technology, innovation and economic development. MGI reports he co-authored include Global flows: The ties that bind in an interconnected world; The China imperative for multinational companies; Reskilling China: Turning the world’s largest workforce into lifelong learners; Outperformers: High-growth emerging economies and the companies that propel them; Notes from the AI frontier: Modeling the impact of AI on the world economy; and an ongoing series on the Future of Asia.  

Prior to joining MGI, Jeongmin worked with companies around the world focusing on consumer facing industries including consumer electronics, retail, and automotive, as a consultant in McKinsey’s Shanghai and Seoul office. He also worked at Dell China as a product marketing manager. 

Jeongmin holds an MBA of Harvard Business School.
