Mr. Gerald Ouellette

Gerald Ouellette is the Director of Offset Advisory at ClearBlue Markets. He advises clients on offset projects and carbon crediting opportunities in compliance programs and in the voluntary carbon market. Gerald previously led Verra’s global energy sector and energy transition emissions accounting methodology development under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) for carbon capture and storage (CCS), oil & gas well abandonments and the early retirement of coal-fired power plants. Gerald led the Province of Alberta's (Canada) regulatory design of requirements for CCS projects, subsurface mineral rights ownership, environmental monitoring, and the establishment of CCS hubs.

Gerald is a Professional Geoscientist with a Master's in Earth and Energy Resources Leadership.
