Mr. Achile Nestor Basahag

Dr. BASAHAG Achile Nestor, Director of Public Accounting at the Ministry of Public Finance, holds a PHD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Douala. His dual role as practitioner and researcher has enabled him to reflect, as part of his doctoral studies, on the budgetary challenges of accounting reform in CEMAC countries, and also to position himself as a major player in bringing public accounting into line with international standards. He also sits on the boards of several financial institutions, notably the Société Commerciale de Banque du Cameroun (SCB) and the Banque de Développement des Etats de l'Afrique Centrale (BDEAC), whose missions are to promote the sustainable development of CEMAC countries and contribute to their economic integration.
